Solid Wastes, Power Generation, The Modeling of Built Operate and Transfer, Burning.
The main scope of this study is to evaluate the amount of the solid wastes in Eskisehir for producing electricity by means of Built, Operate and Transfer (BOT) model. Using this potential, it will be possible to utilize wastes preventing their harmful effects to the environment and making them economically useful. The incineration units thought to be built in Eskisehir will have a capacity of 250 ton/day and produce the energy of 5 MW. The annual production of electricity capacity of this plant will be 43 million kWh. The burning plant is to be composed of only one single unit and the first investment cost of the plant is about 16.2 million US$. In the case of increased waste quantity, the number of unit can be increased to fulfill the requirement in the future. If electricity selling price would be between 0,08 and 0.10 US$/kWh ( about 0.1 US$/kWh including taxes for industrial tarriff) then investment cost of 16,2 million US$ including operation expense could easily be regained within 5 years.
