Abstract

Instructors face significant challenges when migrating a course using a traditional pedagogic approach to a web based format. The preparation of learning modules, conduct of discussions, provision for hands-on labs to elucidate learning module concepts, and problems with student assessment must all be considered. This paper discusses how these components were brought together for information assurance courses at our university. It provides information regarding the history of these types of courses, the nature of their traditional delivery, their migration to an online format, and the outcome of this migration.
