Abstract

The article reviews the usage of a graph-automaton model of an adaptive distance learning and knowledge control system aimed at addressing the issue of optimal control of the quanta of knowledge stream in the process of students’ perception of the course. The model under study takes into account such important aspects of distance learning as the possibility of “forgetting” the knowledge quantum by a student; the problem of the presentation sequence of quanta for processing and operating; the repetition of certain quanta in different classes and contexts. The described model of quanta stream control allows to implement considerable adaptation opportunities to the students’ perception peculiarities and background knowledge in the distance learning and knowledge control system.
