Abstract

There have been concerns of exposure of human heads to radio frequency fields such as those emitted by cellular phones on the brain. The aim of this paper is to estimate specific absorption rates (SAR), accordingly to a seven multilayered head tissue model, with a typical and extreme thicknesses, when exposed to plane waves at 900, 1800 and 2450 MHz. The simulation software used is based on the Symmetrical Condensed Node (TLM-SCN) Transmission Line Matrix method with stubs and extended to dissipative and non homogenous media.
