Parallel simulation, CORBA
This paper examines the possibilities of using CORBA as a platform for distributed and parallel discrete event and time-stepped simulation. A survey of simulation platforms and of distributed and parallel computation frameworks is presented, and the CORBA option justified. A simple discrete time-stepped simulation model was developed and implemented as a prototype. Goals for a framework to develop are proposed.
