This paper considers ∞ H control performance for structural systems using Tagagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. Based on parallel distributed compensation (PDC) schemes, we design a nonlinear fuzzy controller and the control problem will be reformulated into linear matrix inequalities (LMI) problem according to the derivation of Lyapunov theory. Furthermore, the tuned mass damper will be designed according to the first mode of frequency of the control system and and fuzzy-model-based ∞ H control is designed by means of LMI methods.
