Signs of a Nuclear Revival in The United States?

Abstract

Since the 1970s, a lack of growth has beset the nuclear power industry. Economic issues with several root causes have ultimately stymied nuclear plant development. The U.S. government gave birth to atomic power, and now, via incentives in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, has set the stage for a potential revival of nuclear power. Wildcards, such as global warming and global competition for energy sources, could propel a nuclear renaissance.
