Abstract

Open Source Software is becoming evermore important and widespread these days. Their maintenance processes are controlled with defect management and version management systems. We have earlier developed a system, RaSOSS, for analyzing maintenance process through defect management and version management systems. In this paper, we analyze OpenOffice.org project, which is an untypical Open Source Software project because they are controlled strictly by company. We expected that this project would use defect management more controlled but our analysis showed that results are similar to other non-company controlled Open Source Software projects.
