Abstract

This paper presents Simple Focused Design, where the basic tenet is to focus on the primary functions of a software product. Simple Focused Design and Human Computer Interaction Theory outlines the principles of Simple Focused Design and provides techniques for designing graphical user interfaces that make it easy for new users to adopt and ensures that new products or IT systems meet the needs of the user. Simple Focused Design is applicable to the software development life cycle (SDLC) and offers practical solutions to ensure that product interfaces provide the most important and most frequently used functionality on the outermost interface layer.
