Abstract

1 Distributed IT architectures are becoming increasingly complex and hard to maintain as they evolve into sophis ticated fabrics of interconnected and dependent services. The proposed coordination model XD describes the foun dation for a coordinated XML based communication space providing a simple and robust communication para digm. It ties into current distributed applications by offer ing two essential features: First, the XD coordination model does not prescribe a specific coordination model and adapts to most interaction patterns. Second, the inter face employs accepted standards simplifying the adapta tion of the model to current programming styles, architec tures, and tools.
