Metacarpal, fracture fixation, bone morphometry
The completeness and precision of metacarpal measurement have always been hampered by the lack of generally accepted standard of metacarpal structures and dimensions. This study aims to propose rigorous definitions for metacarpal measurement by integrating medical radiography and engineering methodology. Measurement of metacarpals of Asian adults was taken and analysed based on the definitions proposed.
