Nonparametric Time-Varying Phasor Estimation using Non-Quadratic Criterium

In this paper we present an application of a robust non parametric signal modelling technique for tracking time varying phasors of voltage and current in power systems. A first order polynomial is used to approximate these signals locally on a sliding window of fixed length. The quadratic squares-root non-quadratic criterion and the weighted least squares criterion will be used to fit the linear function to the data, and the two methods will be compared. The paper concludes with the presentation of the representative test ing results on a simulated and a practical case.
