Performance Assessment of Adding Cu-ultrafine Particles into Falling Film Desiccant

Liquid desiccant have received considerable attention recently due to its impact in the air-conditioning (AC) efficiency. A mathematical model is produced to study the heat and mass transfer between air and falling film desiccant in terms of dehumidification process of air and regeneration rate of liquid desiccant accounting for the addition of Cu-ultrafine particles into the film desiccant. The results showed that dehumidification and cooling rates processes are improved with an increase in the Cu-ultrafine particles and dispersion effect.
