FFT, OFDM, MIMO, CELLULAR, MULTI-RADIO
Cellular and Multi-Radio MIMO-OFDM applications require several Fast Fourier Transforms of potentially different size to run in parallel. The Multi-Size Multi-Stream FFT architecture, as presented in this paper, is specifically targeting these MIMO-OFDM applications. It is based on the Radix 2² FFT [2], which achieves both lowest computational complexity and memory consumption. While this is already shown for the single FFT case, it turns out that this is even more valid in the Multi-Stream case. An optimized Multi-Size Multi-Stream Radix 2² FFT is offering significantly better memory consumption than competing approaches.
