OLAP operations are widely accepted as a suitable method for decision support by data analysis. In this investigation, we discuss two operators GROUP and APPLY based on meta objects over relations. Using the two, we define 3 aggregate operators, ROLL-UP, STAGE-UP and DRILL-DOWN for OLAP processing. We show the last two are inverse oper ators. The goal of this work is to assign semantics to the operators that guarantee its inversibility. Also we discuss how they can be implemented.
