Abstract

In this work we compare the results of reconstruction of genealogical trees obtained by using two methods: maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood. An additional condition on pattern tree for trees reconstructed, were constructed in case of varying population number. Three types of courses population size: two-step, multiple-step, exponential were tested. For generation of the true tree the probability function of the process of coalescence is used.
