GDE is a visual tool which supports application develop ment for message-passing parallel computing and is in tended to provide a simple human interface to the process of creating message-passing programs. Programmers describe the program structure using two diagrams: proc ess diagram, which permits to define the application proc ess structure, and sequence diagram, which permits to define the sequence of processes execution and messages flows. Then the GDE automatically generates the skeleton of the message-passing program in C++ language. The GDE is implemented on the top of the PVM environment.
