Specifications are the primary source for obtain ing test cases in software testing. An important issue in system testing is to identify all the legit imate input. Classification tree method is one of the well-studied Category-Partition approaches for identifying test cases. However, this method requires a lot of human decisions. Class vec tor is an approach better than classification tree in modelling Category-Partition properties. In this paper, we discuss a method which is de rived from the formal framework of class vector to generate all the class vectors. This method has advantages over classification tree method in the required amount of human decisions, usability, degree of automation and theoretical foundation. Consequently, we conclude that our class vec tor method is better than the classification tree method.
