Component Specification, Specification Mapping
The paper investigates currently available component specifications and argues what an ideal component specification should contain. Elements of the ideal specification are defined, focusing on possible ways of characterising the non-functional properties of a component. A specification mapping process between different technologies and the structure of an XML file facilitating the process is proposed. Specification matching in terms of component and function matching is also addressed.
