Abstract

This paper describes the implementation of a Relational Database Management System(RDBMS)-based data store for object-oriented data. It is designed to support trans actional operations needed to support the use of various protocols for maintaining the consistency of replicated data stores. A subset of Object Definition Language (ODL) and Object Query Language (OQL) standard is used for ob jects’ state storing and to perform queries respectively. The service does not depend on the underlying RDBMSs, and it allows object replication.
