2 In this paper, we present a generalized model of wireless data broadcast (WDB) systems. Based on the model, we define and derive exact mathematical expressions for a few performance measures that seem most appropriate for the analysis of WDB based systems. Subsequently, we prove the existence of a single broadcast scheduling scheme, which ensures the optimal system performance with respect to the given set of performance measures.
