Abstract

Fuzzy inference processing, by means of a straightforward approach, could become very inefficient when standard processors are used. There are mainly two possibilities of overcoming such inefficiency: to develop specific fuzzy processors or to transform fuzzy inference methods taking into account each processor architecture constraints. In this paper the second alternative has been followed which is, in its turn, considered to be divided in two phases: pre-compilation and execution. The former can be implemented optimally for a wide range of architectures but the later must be adapted carefully. For avoiding the adaptation task a tool for efficient code generation and its corresponding pre-compilation method are presented.
