Abstract

In this paper, we describe the application of the de composition method to the analysis of huge data, acquired in the process of air pollution monitoring around the power plant. The main objective of our experiments was air pollution prediction with the application of artificial neural networks. Before the application of the decomposition the data were too complex to be trained effectively. However, after the decomposition of the data, we achieved reasonable training results. Therefore, we suggest that the decomposition can be a helpful tool in data mining applications.
