The aim of the research is to apply non-linear models for the more accurate prediction of the production rate in pressure screening. The sigmoid neural networks are utilized for the function approximation in this research. The purpose of the models is to predict the consistency of the accepted pulp flow of the pressure screen. The methodology is applied to the pressure screening of thermo mechanical pulp (TMP).
