4-wheeled steering system of car, Maneuverability and Stability, Control configured design, Simultaneous optimal design
This paper presents a new approach of control con figured optimal design for car steering systems. The aim of this method is designing the car which realize the high-performance in both the stability and maneu verablity in high-speed situaion such as freeway lane changes and emergency avoidance. For this purpose, the design problem of car steering system is formu lated as a kind of simultaneous optimization problem of structure and controller using a new performance index based on the input deviation and the capacity of handling stability. And Genetic Algorithm (GA) based technique is used for solving this design prob lem. Furthermore, numerical simulation results are included to illustrate the effectiveness of proposed de sign method.
