A 3-dimensional model is presented of the dynamic behaviour of a vehicle in different driving manoeuvres. The model has been applied to a standard vehicle with a front McPherson-type steering suspension system and a rear compound crank axle suspension system. In this paper a general approach is put forward to determine the sensors and road tests necessary to validate the results of the computational model.
