Availability modeling, High Availability solutions, Distributed Processing Systems
In the contemporary Internet-based data processing paradigm, there is an accentuating need of continues service availability to the online users. Service delays or interruptions in client-server interactions may be costly equally to the service providers and the customers. High availability solutions are used to withstand the service availability due to server failures. In high availability solutions the server failure events are automatically detected and the computing load is transferred to another server. This paper presents an availability model for the systems in which availability solutions are implemented by mutual takeover configuration.
