Using system level simulation, service coverage depending on the number of users and their locations is examined for cdma2000 1xEV mobile packet data systems. Such questions on service coverage are addressed in this paper: how much of the throughput varies depending on the number of users and their locations, in what percent of the cell area the users can be supported with a given data rate, and how the throughput changes depending on the user distribution if different parameters in resource allocation are assumed. In addition, a question of what percent of the users in the system cannot enjoy a given minimum data rate is also discussed.
