To attempt more active learning than conventional classroom teaching, a set of Web based self study tutorial and laboratory courseware on the new topic of Internet Database Integration is developed. It provides an interactive and dynamic learning environment for the students to acquire the knowledge and strengthen their skills through solving practical problems. It aims to stimulate students to engage in learning outside the classroom. The students’ acceptability of this new learning model and the effectiveness of using tutorials on Internet is also assessed.
