Abstract

The research in WBT systems is centered in reusability, accessibility, durability and interoperability of didactic materials and environments of virtual education. In this article, the model and the authoring tool for the development of electronic books called POLIlibros and the Units of Learning Materials (ULM) as reusable content packages are considered. A special type of labeled materials called Intelligent Components of Programmable Reusable Software (ICPRS) is described, producing assets rich in multimedia, interactivity and feedback. These ICPRSs extend the capacity of Learning Interactions of Flash allowing means for dynamic construction of the ULMs composed of these components based on the concept graph knowledge representation model. The described modules have been developed for the EVA (Virtual Learning Spaces) run time WBT environment. The proposed model is compatible with the specifications of SCORM 1.2.
