Documents prepared for e-learning projects are usually enjoyable only through CD-ROMs or the web. However several people prefer books or classroom-based learning. This paper presents NetLibrary, a project that developed a new approach in creating e-learning topics. Material is managed automatically (through the use of a custom tool, WebLibrary) in order to support several media such as Web, CD-ROM, books, and it includes slides that can be used by instructors in classroom. However the real advantage is the cheap, fast and simple content creation, which makes this approach suitable for fast changing topics. Index Terms— Web-based education, fast content update, fast book creation, NetLibrary, WebLibrary.
