Abstract

Despite the on going advances in the web and multimedia technologies in education, many educators are still skeptical that it can meet the educational needs of an increasingly diverse student population in a limited resources of instructors, administrators, and physical classrooms. In this paper, an instructor’s guideline was developed on how to incorporate the web technology in advancing construction education. This guideline was a result of extensive literature review and the authors’ experience in implementing web technology into three main engineering courses that are different in nature of delivery and presentation. These courses were: Construction Contracts (non-graphical oriented), Construction Methods (graphical oriented), and Engineering Statics (mathematical oriented).
