Abstract

The University of Southern Queensland with five Masters level graduate students embarked on an experiment to explore the potential of graduate students in bridging the digital divide through the Internet. After one year of work, this case study indicates that there is substantial potential, but that the determining factors in success are more matters of project structure and personal motivation than technology. Technology, however, emphasized the impact of the other factors.
