Economical Constraints Integration for Tolerances Computing

To obtain a mechanical product composed of many pieces, several choices about dimensions, process plan ing and machines which manufacture the pieces have to be made by the design department and the production of fice. The number of different possible solutions for each pieces is the main problem. This is why this process can be very expensive. A new system has been found to make easier this part of design process. This paper describes an algorithm which integrates economical constraints for the determination of the pieces tolerances intervals. In first, we define the fuzzy tolerances notion which will be used in the algorithm. In the second part, we describe the algorithm and, finally, we illustrate the integration of economical constraints in an example.
