Smith-Predictor Controller Design with Reduction Model using Genetic Algorithm

To improve the performance of PID controller of high order systems by model reduction, we proposed a new model reduction method using genetic algorithm. This method considered four points (G( jω) = 0, - π /2, - π , -3 π /2) in the Nyquist curve to reduce steady states the error between original and reduced model. And we proposed Smith-predictor for a dead-time compensator using genetic algorithms. It is shows that the proposed methods have much high performance than the conventional method worked preciously.
