view-based, face detection, Adaboost, rotation in plane,RBF Network
In this paper, we present a view-based system for face detection, which uses a RBF network enhanced by AdaBoost. The detection system consists two parts with different resolution, each of which has its own detector (classifier). This system structure can detect faces under clutter environment quickly and precisely. Experiment shows that the performance of boosted RBF detector is comparable to the SVM detector. In addition, a rotation-in plane face detection algorithm is proposed by the means of a simple rotation-sampling window.
