Analog-to-digital converter, oversampling,signal prediction
In this paper, a signal-predicting oversampling scheme for analog-to-digital conversion is presented. The proposed scheme of the conversion applies to bounded signals that are band limited. The scheme is based on the fact that the maximum difference between the successive samples can be made arbitrarily small if the sampling frequency is chosen to be sufficiently high. A method of designing an A/D converter with a simple structure based on the proposed scheme is also described.
