This article presents a Tutor in phenomenological modelling, a knowledge-based system whose goal is to help a non expert user, but with basic knowledge in the subject, in the modelling oriented to control of simple processes. The Tutor emulates an expert with no direct access to the process being modelled, but able to communicate with the user who does have contact with the process. The Tutor intends to convey to the user the methodology of a modelling expert and to guide him in the search for mathematical relationships capable of representing the system of interest.
