PET, Kinetic Modeling, Feature Extraction
PET (Positron Emission Tomography) is an imaging technique that can quantify in vivo physiology and biochemistry. A content-based retrieval database for PET images should ideally include physiological parameters, in addition to visual features, due to the additional information they provide. In this study physiological information is extracted from a group of brain PET images using a purely image-based algorithm.
