Abstract

Predictive controllers are usually designed in the time do main and hence if there are some frequency domain cri teria to be satisfied, these are most easily considered via Youla parameterisations in conjunction with the nominal controller. However these parameterisations do not apply during constraint handling. This paper introduces a novel means of introducing frequency domain criteria into the time domain cost whose benefits carry across to the constraint handling case.
