Pollution, Fuzzy Systems, Fuzzy Time Series.
The aim of this paper is to predict pollutants concentrations in the air of Villa San Giovanni, a small town located in front of Messina Strait (Italy). For this purpose, fuzzy time series models have been exploited in order to prediction of pollutants concentration in the air. In particular, two algorithms (B and B*) are exploited and ameliorated for our purposes. By using Matlab® language, we wrote a code that automatically predicts the temporal evolution of a time series by means of B and B* algorithms. Finally, a comparison with Fuzzy Inference Systems is presented.
