Dynamic Behaviour and Mathematical Modelling of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

This paper gives a brief description of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors and their applications. This paper also presents the modeling results by using phase transformation method. Reverse transformation method is used for obtaining the results, which are in the real system. The model of interior type of permanent magnet synchronous motor has been formed by using electrical and mechanical equations defined in Matlab. Taking speed control in to consideration develops the model. Speed control is achieved with the use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) current control. Figure1. Equivalent circuit of PMSM
