Two novel modifications to the original active contour model with fuzzy logic (FL) and dynamic programming (DP) are proposed in the paper. The first of the modifications guides the deformable model with fuzzy logic which tries to allow for the integration of uncertain a priori knowledge into active contour model. The second modification tries to use dynamic programming to make the performance faster in computer implementation. Results are presented which demonstrate performances of the discussed methods.
