This work describes the modeling, stability and regulation problem for a liquid tank. The hybrid system defined by the liquid tank is modeled using high level Petri nets. In particular, coloured Petri nets, due to to its high level of abstraction, manage to integrate the continuous and discrete event parts othat compose the liquid tank. A stability and regulation analysis, using Lyapunov methods, for the system Petri net representation is made.
