Web services, distributed object, performance evaluation
Evolution of the web to encompass service-oriented application results to the needs of restudying the issue of performance in web services in order to meet users expectations. In this paper, we refine our scope to the domain of web services and address the performance issue by using the distributed object approach to disperse the bottlenecks that occur at web services. We present the design of the High Performance Web Services System (HPWSS) where web services can be replicated to distributed resources in the form of objects and invoked across the network. We have implemented the HPWSS and conducted experiments on it. The overall results show HPWSS manages to improve the performance of web services during the occurrence of massive requests.
