Abstract

We have developed a distributed search engine, called Cooperative Search Engine(CSE), in order to retrieve fresh information. Basically, distributed search engines have higher availability than centralized search engines. However, since there is only one meta search server in conventional CSE, if the meta search server stops then the entire system stops. So, in this paper, we propose redundancy of meta search servers in CSE in order to increase the availability of CSE.
