Abstract

In this paper, we present a new scheme for automatic data distribution while compiling for distributed memory architectures. Our algorithm generates block, cyclic and block cyclic distributions. We analyze the algorithm and show that the complexity of our algorithm is n²_p times the complexity of the alignment and distribution phase combined together (n_p is the number of phases). We have done simulations and the results are encouraging.
