Abstract

A polling system with multiple customer classes and feed back is analyzed. Various classes of customers arrive at each station according to Poisson processes. The server visits the stations in a cyclic order and admits customers into the service facility in a gated fashion. Customers in the service facility are served in either a FCFS discipline or a fixed priority discipline. Each customer completing a service either returns to the system for more services, or departs from the system. We derive sets of linear equations for mean sojourn times.
