Abstract

Industrial automation systems integrated with unified information model covering different aspects ranging from ordering, design and engineering to operation and maintenance are the current tendency of the industrial and process automation. The web service provides an integration platform based on standard protocols (HTTP, SOAP, WSDL) for different industrial information systems and applications. In this paper we will present a multi-dimensional web service model that addresses handling of industrial information systems with multi structures. The web service model considers the business aspect and the lifecycle phases as the rules for instantiation of the web service architecture model of meta-level. It enables integrated use and navigation of the industrial information systems. Some building blocks such as façade, surrogate, composite, reference designator etc. are identified and presented in this paper.
