Electric power industry, electric accidents, occupational safety and health.
This paper brings forward issues from the Greek electric power industry regarding actual practices and conditions of occupational electric accidents. The research assesses the level of workers’, scientists’ and managers’ awareness of Occupational Safety and Health - OSH work conditions and the corresponding participation mode in place. This was achieved through the analysis of their opinions about electric accidents' causes, occurred in the electric power industry between 1992 and 1996. Each one of the above groups faces the OSH issues in a different way. The results regarding the OSH Committees found in the surveyed industry provide important evidence regarding such practices in the entire Greek industrial sector.
